Need help with abutilon

I have a small abutilon that has pink flowers. It's only about 20 inches high and is in a container. It's been doing really well for the past couple of months, flowering like crazy. Well, it is still producing many flowers but the leaves have developed small, yellowish, dry spots. They have also been turning brown and dry around the edges and then falling off. I've been checking with a moisture meter and careful in watering it. I've also fed it some half strength liquid plant food. I've also put it in a spot with filtered sunlight. So, why are the leaves turning brown around the edges? Thanks for your help.
