We had a very strange combination of dogs. Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Dandie Dinmonts. Not to mention that all the barn cats were siamese. Used to run puppy and obedience classes for our local dog club. Till last year used to live with 20 or so mini daxies.
Was thinking about you at your first class on Oct. 1 - inbetween rushing around during our lily bulb sale.
Update please, let us know how your first class went.
Loved the picture of Sandy & Cooper.- you just HAD to add a bit of a brug in the corner.
The RU was fun actually - to meet others.
Our babies asleep in the winter.

They are so cute!! and you had how many??.
I have never been so fortunate as to have that many loves in my life at one time... how awesome.
Ann
Maybe you can help me Ginny. The breeder we got our dog from doesn't believe in shots before 12 weeks. We're close (born July 25th) but we aren't able to go to puppy classes yet. What do you suggest I do with a puppy who is constantly between my feet? This isn't an idle questiion. I spent 7 hours in emergency on Saturday and am in a cast for 6 weeks after breaking my wrist after tripping over my new rugrat puppy going down stairs.
How do I stop this dog from attacking my legs?
Morning Liz,
You poor thing. Will go over to Barneys list for followup.
inanda
Liz do you take calcium supplements? If you don't you should be. Also if you know any physiotherapist who does electromagnetic therapy, it does help the healing process. I have an ankle that is living proof.
Aha, here it is in Cooper's thread. Liz' wrist. Oh, Dear--we shall talk about the foot chasing. I have an excellent trainer, Liz. I'll mail you,. and I know you need help not only with Barney, but with fall and trops in the garden.
LOL, does she have anything for pant leg chewing while walking?
well we've been to 2 puppy classes. He starts out scared stiff, but within 5 minutes, he's inthe middle of the dog piles and unfortunately, so excited of being there he's umm, doing a behaviour that we are trying to discourage, if you get my drift!.
We've been trained how to train him how to sit, come, laydown, given the brief pointers on heeling. Most of these things he'll do a fair job of if you have a bottomless pocket of treats.
Here's he is helping in the garden
this has been going on for a while, but I finally got a picture of him tonight.
There are times, like tonight, when he's just full of it, running, taking everything he can chew. Nights like this, my SO's son calls him Damian.
here is as 11 weeks.
that's it for tonight, I hope all had a good thanksgiving.
Linda
Sounds like your classes are coming along well.
Practice, practice, practice.
Half the point of puppy classes are for socialization. That is very important.
Can you tell I HATE being dogless.
Love Inanda
Oh Linda He is so cute !!! I can see it won't be long and he will be in your water feature.LOL I am happily waiting for that photo.
Glad to hear that puppy class is going well.
It looks like as his mom you are showing him how to try new things.... the barefeet in the sand thing.
Ann
He is so adorable! Obviously doing very well in class, and remember, he's just a little boy! Considering that expressive face of his, perhaps you should consider acting classes for "Damian".
Linda, he is such a cutie pie. He has such an expressive face.
