Help! Caterpillars in my tomato plants

Decatur, IN(Zone 5a)

Hi all,
I just discovered atleast 15 of these green caterpillars on the stems of my tomato plants. Most of them have the white eggs(?) on their backs. The closest ID I came to find was that they are either swallowtails or White-Lined Sphinx but in either case, what should I do. DH is talking about turning the garden into mulch soon. Would it hurt them to move them to another plant? Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Gemila

P.S. Sorry but this is the closest I could take a picture of it without it being so blurry...cheap camera! ;)

Your caterpillars are the Tomato Hornworm or Five-spotted Hawkmoth (Manduca quinquemaculata) http://www.npwrc.usgs.gov/resource/distr/lepid/moths/usa/1079.htm

The white eggs on the caterpillars are cocoons of Braconid Wasps that parasitise the caterpillars and are helping you to get rid of this garden pest.
