Purple Plumerias???

Geneva, FL(Zone 9b)

I am so jazzed. I worked out a deal for a Jack's Purple! A friend of mine went to Thailand and is trading one fo my plumies from here for one of her's over there. This lady travels frequently to Thailand and now I have a regular connection who can take over my trades to her friend and vice-versa!

In the interim, I am posting some pics of my True Blue Australian Plumeria. It is actually a light lilac-purple and has the sweetest fruity fragrance.

Beautiful, Brad! I can't wait to see mine bloom now that I've seen how pretty yours is. Good job on scoring Jack's Purple! That one should be awesome!

I did not know you guys are after Jack's Purple. In case that you have trouble getting one, please let me know if I can be of any help. I 'll be happy to.

I don't think it's the same Jack, but what do I know? From what I heard, Jack and his son were selling their purple one on a private auction, and the price was over $35,000 the last time I checked. That one is called "Sobriety."

$35,000.00!!!!!!!!!! Ack! That would be a nice downpayment on some land for my new nursery I want to build!

Yes, I'm not sure there are many of us that could afford that much for one plumeria! It's probably a commercial enterprise, I suppose, who will then propagate it and sell it commercially, but I suppose it could be just a single hobbist.
