Hello Propagation group:
I grew my Ozark Sundrops from seed last year. I enjoyed the blossoms but didn't let any set seed.
Thinking that these leggy stems could result in suitable cuttings, I placed cuttings in a water glass in a windowsill with northern exposure.
What are my chances of actually rooting some starts? What factors determine whether plants can be rooted in this manner?
I have never received formal training in plant sciences. But it seems like it ought to work.
Are there others out there that have tried this? Please chime in with your answers.
Thanks,
Sundrops......can they start by cuttings rooted in water?
If we're talking about the same plant, they will spread by plantlets on short runners. In fact, you should probably have already seen some by now.
I haven't tried to root any because of the way they multiply on their own.

if you haven't already.
Robert.
