Garden Hose Containers

Incredible is a good word to describe his talent and yet there's his active mind, anxious to set dreams into reality that is both amusing and amazing.

Roo is so sweet. What plant is directly in back of him? Whatever it is I'm sure he stands out even more because of the greenery of the shrub, in season. Can he stay out all winter or does he (I'm just assuming Roo is a male) have a place of honor in the house?

pirl, if you're referring to the bare stalks (?) that would be Hibiscus coccineus with bright red flowers. The small gold foliage directly behind him should be beautiful - I planted two Leycesteria formosana 'Golden Lanterns' shrubs which will fill out and have a lovely red tinge to the golden foliage in the shade.

Oh my gosh, no, "Roo" stays outside all year - he's about 3.5 feet tall and is HEAVY! You should have seen me when I loaded him in my car to bring to Virginia - 'he' took up the whole floor of the back seat. We used to have him in our front gardens but he was getting kind of lost in all the shrubbery - so when I planted this new garden last fall, I dragged him down the hill to his new home :)

Yes, I was referring to the bare stems and wondering what it was. The red tinge will make Roo look even more handsome.

Please post more photos of Roo when your 'Golden Lanterns' blooms.
