Betsy - Oh, geez, I didn't even THINK of that!!! I have enough trouble keeping just ol' me stocked up! Last winter, middle of the night, middle of a blizzard, I had to dig my Saturn Vue out and make an "emergency" run to Walgreens, if ya know what I mean. (Grumbling all the way, " When is the change coming, dagnabit!") You must be an organized GENIUS to keep 7 of you "prepared." I'm in awe of you!

Tami, you need to have the photo saved somewhere. Then you need to browse your computer to find it. Then where it says open it, you chose that and it should be attached here. You can see it in the preview.

Oh, I know how to do that... Thanks Christine.

Thanks Sandy for the photo, had to crop DH out of the photo as he didn't want it posted over the internet. He watches to much T.V. !!! Anyways this is me, I don't know why I am not smiling, must have been having a bad day. I'm 46, was born and raised in Arizona and have lived most of my life here except the 8 years I lived in Idaho. My husband and I have 6 boys between us. My one and only will be 26 this August. In 2002 we closed our Constuction Business, sold all our rentals, and now live a relaxed well deserved life. Well DH does, I still have to do a little bit of work..

I love to garden, mostly vegetables. Last year I started crossing Daylilies, it takes 3 years to see an actual bloom, I can't wait to see what the flowers will look like. I enjoy doing Stain Glass, and beading, let me tell ya I can make some funky jewlery.... The weirder the better !!!!

Oh yea, and I love hoya's. :) Nice to see and meet you all.

You who Sandy, your turn..... I can get photo's

After a long search, I finally located a photo. I avoid cameras and even though my husband and daughter are always taking pictures, they haven't managed to catch me in many of them. My husband was upstairs when he looked out the window to snap this shot of me coming down the ladder from picking cherries.

I retired from teaching two years ago and have two children. My 24-year-old son is a p.e. teacher/football coach. My 19-year-old daughter, currently in college, is a computer geek like her dad. I've shared my life with DH for 32 years after meeting him on a blind date at college when we were undergraduate students.

I'm an earthy type person with a love for gardening. I grew up on a farm and live on a small farm now. I spend a lot of time keeping critters out of my plants (ducks, chickens, guineas, & peafowl). One of my favorite times of the day is at dusk when everything is settling down for the night. I can sit on the back porch and hear sounds of insects and frogs drifting through the air. Outlines of hoyas and other hanging plants can be seen as silhouettes in the thickening darkness. Delightful musky fragrances from nearby flowers permeate the air. It's a real sensory overload.

The farm sounds divine Shirley! I would like the cool down I'm pretty sure you get in the evening even in the summer. Bet you have some CICADA'S making noise out there too!

It's a mosquito infested oven here now and it doesn't cool down. 30 days from now it will be worse. Ah, then the lovely Texas fall and winter!

Prescott, AZ

LOL Shirley, I know what you mean about pictures, I find myself behind the camera most of the time, and never have pictures of myself. Your farm sounds wonderful, nice to see you.

Hello Cass,
Great to see you & your husband. I bet he is a fine cook. My DH can fry eggs and potatoes and makes great peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, but that's about it.

Shirley

Chowchilla, CA(Zone 10a)

It is absolutely FABULOUS to see you Shirley and Cassandra!!
Two beautiful women, indeed.
I love what I see of your farm Shirley - an oasis.

Just wonderful to see all the new pics. Shirley, I lived on a farm in Indiana until age 27, when I moved out here to Calif. Your lovely description of those peaceful summer nights brought back so many memories it made me homesick. I used to love to do that very thing, and could just hear those frogs and crickets when you posted that. Thanks for the memories. Lovely farm. lovely lady.
