I received my China Pink today from Brian. Just finished planting it. I probably should have separated it to plant but just planted it all in the same hole. It had a huge root system. I hope it is a fast grower. Would love to see some leaves before it freezes out.

Oh, you will! :o) Mine has only been in a couple weeks and I have leaves popping up everywhere! Defeinitely a tough little bugger!

My Illustrious Black/Green Elephant Ear that I planted the first of July (another EBay win) is getting ready to bloom. I think that is what it is.

I really enjoyed reading this thread. It's great to be on the forum. I really enjoy telling you all about my projects and what crazy hybrids I have coming along. Will be interested to know who is the furthest north with a pink china in the ground?? I had a friend in Ohio test it for years. I believe he was still considered a zone 6.

Sir Buck,

Send it to me. I will babysit it over the winter for you.

Maybe your new bud will get a mate out of the deal. lol.

Well I'm doing one 'CP' in the ground but you can't get much less north in Ohio than me.
I can hear the barge boats on the Ohio River and the bands at Riverbend. lol
