Well I found Spray-n-Grow before I found DG and I think it makes a big difference.
I also use Bill's which is a fish emulsion based product.
I just find it easy to put everything in and foliar feed with a fine mist. I also pinch back many things so I end up with real stinky hands.

Adzumplus and Alternatives...
The nice thing about that website is that if you order $75 you get free shipping.. that's two things of volcanic and one 20 oz spray and grow..lol
edited to say that I can't add..sigh.. 4 volcanic and one spray and grow
edited again to say that I found a site with 40 lb bags for $24.95 and 24.91 shipping to me which is half what it costs on this site even with the free shipping.

Saturday I started my first fall mulch of mostly grass, a few fallen leaves and 3 cups of Azomite. I'll be using it as fall commences with all the leaves and less grass, as well as 1 TBL per gallon to all my potting soil from now on.
Here goes!
Was this advice for using the Azomite in the mulch on the bag with directions?..I never heard of that before...and wat is the purpose...?...Judy
I haven't seen anything but ordinary growth from any of the products I have and, my word, I have more garden products than I have brugs. My most recent being bat poo and some kinda special tea and, boy am I miffed, the darn stuff is water soluble but it doesn't dissolve, and I really don't like it when that happens!!! The product I like most is 15-5-15 CalMag. I'm going to try the seaweed extract within the next couple of days, it is a foliar feed, root dip, soil drench, Seaweed Extract, Liquified Organic Kelp. I bet they will all be blooming by the end of the week, lol!!! But I do know it will dissolve, it's liquid, whew!!!
Sherry, what DG has done to me is get me into so many different kinds of ways to fertilize my plants..lol...Ive now had to buy a shelving unit just to hold everything....Now Im waiting for next spring to start from the beginning and see how many monster size brugs I can grow....Judy
ell, the minerals in the Azomite will mix and cook in with the mulch to make a healthy compost to mix in my pots and garden next spring. (Seaweed and kelp are wonderful for our plants - I've been using the seaweed, too. Kelp I mix in my dog food (by the teaspoon), and am planning to try in my garden, too)
Ok.. just an update. My Dad went to Michigan this weekend and I gave him the list of distributers for Adzumplus. Annnnndddd... He bought a 20lb bag for me!! woohoo.. Now I just have to get over to Indiana to pick it up!
That is way too funny......what we go through to make our plants bigger, better and great looking.....Jazz, where did your dad get the adzumplus?..Judy
In Claire, Michigan. I would have never asked him to go out of his way to find it but he went right through the town! woohoo..
Polly I think that is good that you are using it in your compost. Judy if we all went by instructions only we wouldn't have new recipes would we? LOL
Another thing you might try Polly, I bought one of those small compost containers for the kitchen, just to sit on the counter. It has a filter so it doesn't stink, so far. Mine ends up with mostly coffee grounds. But I was going to say this is something else to put in your compost pile. I think anything you can find other than the no no's will be good.
Jeanette
Thanks for the suggestion, Jnette.
I save all my used coffee filters in a gal baggie on the counter, then once a month dig them in around all my acid loving plants - camellias etc (one thing I haven't tried on the Brugs!), tho I have on the hydrangeas.
By the way, my compost pile I added the azomite to heated up and composted in just this short time
Judy, Jazz, Polly, wanted to check back with you on the soil additives we discussed. I know this is the wrong time of year but didn't want to lose contact for spring. LOL
Jeanette
Jeanette, my main stalk to my maya was huge at the end of the season..I have to say I was impressed with the adzumplus.....I will use it more this year and see how it does using it at the beginning of the year...Judy
And where did you get yours? Jeanette
i found it by mistake this last summer at a local nursery...I was looking for messenger and he directed me to adzumplus....I came home and investigated online...talked to Monika and she told me it was the same ingredients as what she uses on her brugs...Judy
Pretty cool Judy. Bout tripped over it huh? If it woulda been a snake it would have bit you? LOL Lucky. Let us all know how you like it. Jeanette
my Dad picked up a huge bag for me when he went to Michigan.. I was just there over Christmas and don't you know I went off and left it in his garage!argh,.. oh well..it's winter still
Gives you a good reason to go back for a visit. Jeanette
well.. I have to go back in March for his wedding
