Emma sorry I didn't say that they are awesome :)
I am not going back to the last thread cause my internet has been on and off all day, they came this AM and fixed the cable TV, now the internet only half works LOL. They come back tomorrow to fix it.
Everyone, the MG's are so awesome thanks so much for sharing them Every day I learn a bit more and see beauty I hardly imagined. I mean too, too, its not just something to say. I feel very lucky to be producing flowers and pictures of flowers to share with all of you
Y'all are fast becoming another family to me :)

Janis
Oh Great, Janis, your back in action!
Your baggies make it look as it you are starting with your Christmas decorations early....lol
Looking forward to hearing all about this.
Joseph that is a 'Red Castor Bean Plant'. The others are much taller. I also have a Burgundy growing that is spectacular.
I'll email you photos of the mature 'Burgundy'.
It is much prettier.
doesn't it look funny? LOL I'm sure the neighbors were peeking out their blinds saying what is that fruitcake up to now????
I asked for their stepladder to get to the top ones, but it got dark LOL
They are gonna send the guys in little white coats after me.
Emma, if ya want to talk, call or email or dgmail me, since LD doesn't mater here :)
Hugs,
Janis
So far,so Good(!)...
Gotta love zip ties LOL
Janis
Emmagrce, I think you are right about my blue splashed/streaked ones looing like your Indigo one. Does that one have a name? They are very much an Indigo blue color. A much darker color than the Akathoukinoumi they are growing with. I really like the Chocolate Plum one. Wonderful., unique color. Joseph, the photo you posted of your one with the dark star does look a lot like mine.
Susan
Janis,
Your blooms are more beautiful each day. REALLY beautiful! Your Dark Purple that you haven't had an ID on is incredible - shimmer and all!
You should be very proud of all that you have achieved in only the first year. And, how blessed you are to receive only a small part of knowledge from all of the wonderful folks that share their information on these Threads.
I have learned a wealth of information myself. Also, remembering that all of their knowledge that is being shared was also once researched by each - *plus* the YEARS of growing these beauties that they learned themselves from that experience. I'll say it as you did ----- to Thank everyone, especially Ron, for being so 'giving' by sharing with us that are just beginning to learn.
Susan,
I haven't named all of the JMG variants that I've gotten - specifically. I usually just list them as either their color description, or what they remind me of at that moment. I have certainly had MANY incredible beauties over the last 2-years, that I have much research to do on to ascertain if they are in fact a 'cross'. Some probably are, but many will not be
[as Ron has educated me].
The 'Chocolate Plum' IS from one of my 'Plum Frost' seeds --- that has produced some of the most amazing colors and patterns that I've personally grown. The Indigo JMG is from a Tie Dye I. nil mutation [Seeds were From Japan]. I had vines last year that were 'Solid Indigo', 'Solid Indigo with White Edge', 'Indigo Tie Dye' and 'Indigo Streaked'.
Emma
Emma, you Chocolate Plum is gorgeous. Hope you get tons of seeds from that one. All of my mg vines are turning brown and dying from the heat, and so far I have gotten one seed. I want to cry.
Ron,
This vine is gone now that we were talking about -
Your note:
"That unusual Koukan bloom is very unusual because not only is it producing a lighter color, but seems to have the lighter color over a wider area of the flower than when the Koukan blooms are the usual color...most times a dilution will cover less area than the darker color that it is derived from...but,obviously there are exceptions...That lighter bloom reminds me of an oversized purpurea...are the sepals on that vine shorter than on most of your other nils..."
These were the last blooms - which I have tagged.

Gail,
Love your eensy-weensy Matsukaze -
and your 'Henka Blue' is GORGEOUS!
LOVE THAT COLOR!
Gail,
Here is my 'Purple Shibori NOT' -
This is not the same vine as this one 'Akathoukinoumi'
http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=1703693
The Blue colors are the same, but the throat on this one is not as large as the 'Akathoukinoumi',
which I think we left it that still needed a name????
And, did we decide what this one is yet from the 'Purple Shibori NOT'????
Emma
Ronnie,
Absolute Beauties!
