Well, I've finally gotten a few bloomers (MG's)

Franklin, WI(Zone 5a)

I've had an awful growing season...usually I grow at least twenty to thirty different MG's, but this year most of them fried up in the heat. I'm going to post pics of some that hung on, though they're not very prolific. I am thankful to see just a couple blooms on each of these none-the-less.

Sandy

1st one is my forever true Blue Silk...never fails for me.

I don't have the names handy of these I'm going to post...it would take hours to find my notes (sorry).

I think this is cha cha something...was suppose to be more of an orange according to the photo on the package. Looks like a small rose silk colored mt. fuji to me......

Here is plain old Milky Way...reseeded from last year and decided to grow up the tomato cage with one of my tomato plants. The blooms are larger than they have been in the past though so I thought I'd snap a pic.

Here is a pretty pink JP type...don't know name offhand

Those are beautiful, Seedsower.
The orange one, that wasn't orange, its Chachamaru. I have the seeds but didn't plant this year.

Here is a bee butt shot. I don't know if this is Mini Sky Blue, or another blue type I received seeds from in the Reunion Islands.

And lastly, this pretty purple JP type. This one just opened for me this morning.

Seedsower - The Pink one looks like Akatsuki no Beni...they're usually more of a pink, rather than a red...the blue one is I.hederacea and the last one looks close to an "Umi" variant...

Lovely photos!

Sandy, all are lovely.
I especially like your Dark Blue "Umi" variant

A variation of Blue Silk....

Sandy - The double white looks interesting as it does not show the blue spots that the "Gypsy's Bride" does...it looks like it's probably the "Platyodon double" Ipomiea nil or a I.purpureaa purpurea...just wondering if you checked it and happened to know the species...
Nice Bloom(!)...

Ron: I think I did actually purchase it as Gypsy Bride. I'll take a look at future blooms for blue spots and keep you posted!

I thought it was a really nice bloom too. I'm very pleased with how the shot turned out since I had to contort myself to snap the pic since the bloom/vine was growing along one side of my garden pond and I couldn't easily access the area!

Here's my Fujishibouri NOT. I think it is appealing, just not the speckled one I was expecting. Darn!

I really like the color and the pattern on that one...I hope it can produce seeds...Shame to lose that one...It may need 'foster' care...

The 'Fujishibouri NOT' is stunning!!!
