OH so lovely, definitely much more vibrant than package indicated, AND even more red than this photo shows, my camera doesn't do red well for some reason.

So True!! I have some other shots, but this one struck my fancy :)

Well I don't know about that, but it sure got my attention!! I found the bud the night before, so came out early, but we have had nasty wind/rain for a few days, so my luck only held out so long for these shots.

Here is the one that caught my eye. They still glow that pretty deep red color during the day, but my camera won't take the shots to match the color, only early morning and late evening can I get the true reddish tones to cooperate!!

Here is a recent shot this evening, showing how well it stands up and the color, but as you can see the outer edges of the bloom have literally "melted" away
