OUR POND...OR...LAKE!!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Ooooooooooops sorry 'bout that Equilibrium......that would work fine since your spring I'm sure will arrive well before mine. After all we can't have a non-hardy peep from Alabama arriving in the northern tundra before old man winter's reign has ended! ;)

Oh my my my! You are correct. You are zone 3 and that means spring arrives by you about 5-6 weeks after me. I'm beginning to have a real brain storm here. Her husband can come to my house for a month and then he can go to yours. I'll send my husband to your house and then to her house. What can your husband contribute to my house and then to her house while we three ladies take off for parts unknown with their credit cards on a major plant purchasing expedition?

LOL...I wont let him hunt here at the house either...he has to drive about 45 miles away to hunt. I love the wild critters too much to have them for dinner that way!!

It's beginning to feel like fall here now. 47 degrees this morning , cloudy yesterday and only got to 65, so I'm ready for Hawaii. But suppose I'd really better be putting my plants back into gh and my plantroom here in the house

Ah well.......gotta admit time is quickly running out here too. Plants are starting to head to the windows and basement. :'(

Fall, what's that? I was just talking to Jody about weather. We are both in a drought with freak weather in the 90's again. We are hoping for a cool front that will drop temps into the 80's. That's pretty sad considering it is the middle of September. The sun is still doing its best around here to scorch what it didn't fry out over the summer. I bet we end up having one of the hottest summers on record for this year as well as one of the worst droughts on record. It wouldn't surprise me.

Psst... Hawaii isn't all that great. Their plants aren't all that great anymore either... what's left of their native flora is still nice if you go to a Conservancy to see them. You can still find native plants at higher elevations but I think 95% of the species below 3-4,000' are introduced. Pretty sad actually. Hawaii is also crowded in most places these days and quite expensive and very touristy. We're not really missing all that much ladies.

Darn....Yep things here are scorching too. Highs in the upper 90's most of the time...but nights actually got in the mid 60's last week, and this week too. YIPPEE. But I did get to spend about 4 hours watering today WOW!! I complain when it rains, because it rains non stop for a week, then I complain when it drys up....guess there is no pleasing me...LOL
I guess you are right about Hawaii being crowded. I dont like crowds...I like quiet. But maybe we could have all got a glimps of Dog the Bounty Hunter...lol As long as Beth didn't chase us down and handcuff us and haul us to jail...lol
OK...I guess you are all right...not much time to get plants ready for winter...so we all stay home and work.Darn

I enjoyed looking at the pictures. The "lake" is so beautifully done. I appreciate the effort that has gone behind the 'herculian task'.
