Some of my ears

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Susie looks like the TX life is agreeing w/ you!
Perfect for the EE's eh?
Though this Summer's been more like FL here than FL. LOL

How are the Sagos doing?

If you can't find Dipper let me know I have dozens and dozens......

Ric

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Roz, I know the one you gave me survived 26* at Christmas. It went dormant, but came right back up.
Henry, I looked last evening. I know I put it in a pot with other stuff, but I can't find it. Peggy gave it to me, makes me so mad to misplace stuff. I bought a clematis on eBay, planted it, now I can't find it in the jungle, I know it's there, just will have to find it(it's probably under that huge Lady Margaret).

Muskegon, MI(Zone 5a)

Suzie, where did you get your Milky Way Elephant Ear?....I want one...lolol...Judy

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

I got it from Hummernut. I think he got his from Winterberry Farms.

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Let me know if you don't find the Dipper I'll be Fall claening (remember that...lol) here in a bit.
Last Fall I think I had 3 dozen and about 20' of runners.

I gave away about 2 dozen of them at the Roundup.
I don't remember if Peggy got any or not.

Ric

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Well if you're gonna be "cleaning up" you can toss one my way! I'll try to find something you don't have to tempt you with.

Muskegon, MI(Zone 5a)

Ric, Im pretty new to EEs what are Dippers?....Judy

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I think Peggy and I both got the Milky Way and Dippers. Do they have to reach a certain size or age to get the variegation? So far as I know, both of ours are still green.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

As Milky Way gets older, it gets more variegation. When mine was a baby plant, it was mostly green.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I will have to go look. I want to say mine is a couple of feet tall and still pure green on the leaf.

Whitewater, WI

You are such a baaad influence....lol All of you...... :)

I'm trying to avoid the tropical forum cuz everytime I stop in, I get into frenzy and hop over to ebay....This is not good...I'm in zone 5...

Susie the ears are all beautiful.
I still have the ones from you from last year. Black Magic is very impressive. I think it loves the heat.....

Keep the pictures coming, I can't help it... I'm an addict..

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

It's an elephant ear, sort of like the Dipping Gourd hosta, it has a turned up edge.

Muskegon, MI(Zone 5a)

Ohhhh Im going to have to look that one up.....thanks Susie

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Neat thing with the dippers, they are kind of like those little Japanese bamboo fountains, where the tube tips when it get enough water. LOL

I have been leaving any paypal money sent to me, in the account so I can save it for a rainy day. :)

I still can't find it. I remember planting it in a big pot with other stuff(I only have about 20 big pots so I should be able to find it). I remember thinking "I'll remember where this is". I can't remember.........

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

Looks good Peggy!
It's the most prolific EE we have.
I've found runners 6' away from the parent plant.

I've found them very unforgiving of dry soil though.
One day dry in the heat and sun and they fry around the edges.

Here's some at our back entrance,
Notice they are a bit crispy.

I grow all mine in water now.
I'd say 4-6' is a representative size in water.
