We've been here a couple of weeks now. You probably all know the trauma of moving a long distance and this was no different. The whole trip up the coast to our new place Lionel yowled his lungs out pitifully, even though he should have been zonked on the drugs he was given. Of course I worried about him the whole way. The quiet times were even scarier. I worried he'd been overdosed and died. Not a peaceful trip. When we arrived I let him out to discover the new house. Still being loopy from the tranquilizer, he was thrilled to run around and check it out. No caution at all. The next morning he was doing that slooooow motion crawl around the place....not nearly as confident of this scary place. But he settled right down when I sat down at the computer and started working. "OK, we know this routine, I can deal with this." We've been slowly but surely getting to know this strange, exciting new place. One exciting thing was his discovery that the skylight gave him a lovely warm, sunny place to take a nap... on the bed! Nice feature he says.
