The daylilies that I have produce a large pod that either dries and shrivels up or dries and pops open. Do the shriveled up pods contain viable seeds, or is it only the large black seeds from the popped-open pods that are viable?
Daylily seed collection newbie question
large black seeds sound much more likely to be viable!

The large black seeds are the good ones...but I'm no expert on daylilies. There are quite a few good threads over in the daylily forum telling how to store, germinate and grow daylily seeds. You might check there for additional info.
