"Released" is a way of saying to the people that have promised not to sell it or trade it, (in exchange for being the first to have it in their own yards and reporting to the hybridizer or grower how it's doing) that they can now sell/trade or share.
I've made a point of giving this one to several people with stores, so it will eventually show up there, and they, as well as a couple of others that have it, might be willing and able to share it now or later.
And anything that is released is apt to show up on ebay, but be a little careful about that at first, since I know of at least once when who-knows-what was being sold as Mountain Magic.
