haha. I hadn't even noticed the date. I am trying to get ready to leave town and keep up with all that is going on outside, so I literally run in every once in a while to see what's going on and then back outside I go.

LOL Sue, that is too funny!

I was reading along and then happened to notice the date when I was almost done.

Hi dirtyditz! If you want the truth....don't plant it unless you want to be tied down to keeping up with the trumpet creeper from now on!!! I just love them, I have such wonderful childhood memories of them. So of course, I had to plant a couple about 10 years ago. I will tell you this, I still love them....but there are times when I wish I would have never done it. They are planted in our backyard and I have them coming up in the frontyard. Ugh! I'm surprised that my neighbors don't bomb my house!!!

LOL, I was wondering why this old thread popped up!

dirtyditz, welcome to Dave's. Best way to get more specific answers for a plant is to start a new post (perhaps the Vines & Climbers forum in this case) so that each answer automatically pops to the top for you and it doesn't get lost in anothers thread, especially in one about another plants. But Brinda did a great job answering on that particular vine, there always does seem to be someone that comes along that has experience with a plant in question. Now that I got a chance to look it up and recognize it, I will add, my husband still curses when he sees that plant anywhere, it was a beast to remove when we bought the house and underground runners continued to pop up forever! LOL

Yeah, what Sue said.....forever = eternal!!!

Oh & welcome dirtyditz! You're gonna love this place!
