Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Vicki, beautiful pic of the hummer lol! I have never seen a purple butterfly bush, that is really pretty. I've got the purple and white, maybe I should pull a chair up and watch for hummers and butterfly's lol...course I'd look kinda silly cos' it's raining...just kidding.

Great shot. And the link to monterey's thread is OFF THE CHAIN! That man has to be a professional or he missed his calling.

Julie absolutely yes about pulling up a chair and watching your butterfly bushes. Especially in the dog days of Summer. Without a doubt if there is a butterfy or hummer or bee or wasp within a city block they will find those butterfly bushes.
I adore every color of butterfly bush. The one you see in the picture is actually an intense pink. We sold alot of them in our nursery.

Vicki, I'm sorry, I didn't know about your loss, please forgive me and accept my condolences even if it is 2 years later. I'm outta the loop I guess. Blessings to you and I wish you did have Harding Nursery still cos' I've heard so much about it when I first came to DG's...just never had the chance to go check it out...my loss I guess...shoot!

But I understand. :-)

And YUCK on the skin shedding of the Horny Green Fella~!!!!! No pun intended :->

Knoxville, TN

Vicki, I guess your Hummingbirds move from Greenback to Knoxville. I think I saw him yesterday.

LOL on the "horny green fellow"! Truth be told, I could have gone the rest of the day without seeing that!

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I doubt seriously it was Harding Nursery that you heard so much about ... lol! :) ... I love to remember our Harding Nursery because it was a good life that we had "together". You didn't do anything wrong.

I never even thought about a hornworm shedding so I was intriqued. ....... big duh for me! :)
