i collected some Acer palmatum 'bloodgood' seedheads this afternoon, i was just wondering if anyone has any tips on this as far as specifics go... the websites i've looked at don't tell me much more than "should be stratified." help?
acer palmatum seeds?
Try this from the National Seed Lab
http://www.nsl.fs.fed.us/wpsm/Acer.pdf
They seem to self seed quite prolifically here. I tried germinating some
I bought - said to go through several cycles of warm and cold. Only one
seed germinated. In the refridgerator. Wasn't as easy for me as Mother
Nature!
