Has anyone done this?
If so, was it successful?
Propogating Chocolate Cosmos aka Cosmos atrosanguineus
Seeds may not come true, but the plant can be divided.
How is the dividing accomplished?
I did a search and didn't find much, but it sounds like it needs to be treated like a Dahlia... lift plants in the fall when the tops die down, divide the tubers if needed, making sure that there is an eye or bud near the tip where it was cut from the stem and then store in slightly dampened peat, sphagnum, peat or vermiculite.
