Ely What a guy

Ocean Springs, MS(Zone 8b)

Hey Ely,
Between last weekend and this weekend, I think I finally have everything planted that you told me I could plant this summer before it gets cooler. Wow!!!
You really outdid yourself this time. DH built me a planter box shaped like a boat, and I finally planted it with some of the coleus you gave me and we put a mast on it. Wish I could get this stupid computer to accept pictures, so I could post one. It turned out really cool. Looks like a sailboat.
The variegated macs are growing like crazy and I think one of them has made a baby already.
Thank you again, and I do have that milky way and variegated toad lily waiting for you for the next time we all get together.
I am dying to see Roz's place. (Did you hear me, Roz??) LOL!!!

Hey Janet, you just come right on!!!! Been waiting a long time for you, and the light is still on!! I know it is hard to get away, when I live so far away, and you work and have a family, but just come on any time!! I will probably make you nuts asking you questions about gingers. Still not sure what I am doing with them, but most of the time it is just better to plant them and not know anything could go wrong and maybe it won;t!!

LOL... Roz... yep.. that's how I learned about gingers when I was very new to them.. luckily most are pretty darn forgiving and they multiplied and bloomed and I had plenty to share.

Nah, Roz, you could never make me nuts!!!
Yes, I am really looking forward to seeing your place ely told me so much about it and I am sure it is beautiful. From the looks of your pics I think you know exactly what you are doing with your gingers. Great job they look spectacular!!
