What did you do today?

I had been cleaning for almost 4 hours doing the upright freezer to let defrost and also icebox too and check all the meats etc.. expired to throw it away also clean the kitchen cabinet the food cans and boxes check that too finally it is over now so my right side lower back hurt, I will be ok soon to get better.

Today was the bored day for me.. doing chores around here.. My family is coming over and spend the day with us. Had a lady came and brought her dog (Buster's sister-same litter) for me to groom.. kids went out and caught some more baby crawfishes.. LOL.. been raining off and on today.

Today no work for me but I will go for walk in the park.

Oh yes now I have to work today this afternoon to clean up in our closet to rid of clothes in hang with dresses and suits and blouses got it all done whew me and my husband had been work all afternoon so exhausted so glad got it over with it so had clean our both dresser drawer to rid of clothes also too look much better so later on will paint my bedroom not sure what color I want might use Maurve Rose with Sage.

Do you want a complete list ? Okay. First I went to see how the watermelons are coming along. Spent an hour there pulling cockleburrs.
Drove up by the eegplant field, weeded an entire row. 250 ft.
Took a little break. We have a ditch along the garden that we keep mowed, so I did that.
Decided the Gladiolus there were a little weed infested, so there's me pulling more weeds. Did 1 row, 200 feet long.
Mowed more lawn for an hour or so.
Went to the shed and enlarged our homemade walk-in cooler.
Hey it even works better now that it's bigger.
Took a nap!
After supper went & helped my son pick green beans. We picked 3½, 5 gallon pails full.
Finished that job about 20 minutes ago, so here I am!

Tomorrow, I will have to looking through lot of things which we don't need to put in the boxes to sell for yard sale some time next month if nothing come up.

So far today...and it is only 10 Am...I hung 4 load of laundry on the line....weeded and mulched an area in the garden, burnt the garbage,baked 2 blackberry pies, bagged up the trash and got the lawn mower ready to go......and found a phone number for dh...LOL

I finished my Gladiolus weeding. I'm pooped.
I think I'll swing over for some of that pie! Sounds great!

I was up until about 7:30am, and slept until almost 2:00pm. So far, I've done a whole lot o' nothing. Tomorrow I'll make up for it. ;)

I'm with Kimberly. I'm still exhausted from this last weekend at the lake. I'm doing a whole lotta nothing! :-)

(and I do have things I should be doing...............)

No work for me today bad time when we hurried to go see parents when I got out in way back seat my van and I fall and hit hard on cement on drive way and got hurt my back, arm and under rib so sore so had to bring my dad to the hospital to ER last night that he has real low low heart beating from the medicine taking make his heart beating slow not normal so gave him a shot to make the heart beating fast still in ICU to make sure he ok so he will have cut down some medicine to see how it work for him and will find out more later this afternoon.
Well I need to go for now and get me some rest.

cleaning up from the storms now that the power is back on!!!

I went shopping to Lowes and got some great buys on plants......Now I am going to clean out the frig......

Cleaning out the fridge - never ever fun! And with this heat, we do it the night before garbage pick up.

Hi GW.... the doctor found that my dad has too much potassium cause him sick with nausea and weak and his kidney stop working plus had slow heart beating gave him a shot to make heart beat fast like normal and his heart are ok now and will see his 3 doctor this afternoon about his leg and took xrays yesterday and so will talk about the food what he can eat have to have speical diet for his kidney and bad diabetes so now put him a room from ICU yesterday so now he has so much pain his right leg from hip to feet have to keep him stay hospital not normal for him have pain so much for more than a week now and so waiting for what the doctors has to say about his leg what it cause hope nothing serious. I am worry about him.
Well me still really so sore more now from fall could do anything too much right now whole from my head to toe on my right side has headache off and on so hard for me sleep at night keep turn turn turn could not sleep almost none

I planted my flowers I got at Lowes yesterday...Also had a load of mulch that I mulched some flower beds.....Didn't get done...Got side tracked to the veggie garden...Hoed the beans and did some weeding........Was at all that for several hours...So hot.the sweat just dropped off my head..So quit that and went to MIL's and gathered up her laundry to do and have it in the washer now.........Gonna shower, wash my hair and then get to some house work........and how is your day going???

What have I done today? In a word, SWEAT!

We're sweating less today...The cold front came through (cold is a relative term, LOL). It's still a bit muggy, but cool enough I have the windows open. Sure is nice to have fresh air in the house! Of course, soon as it rains, I'll have to go around and close most of the windows -- it rains in here something fierce!

Still rest and still sore so all do is need to go bring suits and dresses to dry cleaner in Lafayette about 40 minutes from here only cost a piece for $1.60 to leave there then next day to go pick it up not bad cost me which we could afford it so over here cost $17.00 for 2 pieces.

We still waiting to hear my father's 3 doctors did not see him yesterday afternoon and I called my mom this morning and she said still not yet so we wait. Right now my dad will get a shot for Anemic and will get some blood work too and has bad painful his right leg all last night and other day too so gave him some pain pills it help sort of but.

You all have a good day and Happy Gardening to make sure don't stay out too much sun and make sure drink the Gatorade that I like the flavor is > Watermelon Ice< so good.

The doctor told my parents other day about white potato that both can eat at first need to cut thin slices to let it soak over night then wash it again the starch will out not have to worry about turn into sugar who has diabetes so, I am go glad to know so now I can eat then cook it what ever they like to use potatos not have to worry about sugar go up.

Oh other thing , I need to go Chiropractic tomorrow that my lower back and back of my neck and so tight muscle on both side shoulder too > too much stress it has bother me for while hope it will help me to feel better as I know for sure will give me more sore that I already hurt myself from fall, LOL. I have to go to finish with it before we can go Biloxi, Miss. boy I can't wait to feel my feet on the sand love to go beach and long walk and watch the sun go down and do other things to have us fun to getaway from home for few days that we will be leaving next month.

My neck and back felt so much better when I was going to the chiropractor regularly a couple years back. I got to the point where I could go just once in a while, but our money tree had to be pruned way back. LOL! I just e-mailed our insurance to find out what the co-pay is for chiropractic on our new coverage. what a treat that would be again! Howie could really use some deep massage, but I don't think that's covered.

Sorry could not get back here sooner while I were so busy yesterday to wash the clothes and to get all clean to give away some clothes to my friends who need it so anyway about my dad went back home yesterday afternoon after he see his doctors and it said the x-ray did not see what wrong with his leg but will see another doctor this Monday to see if he find what is wrong with his leg hopefully could find what it cause it so, my father still having pain his leg all he has to take pain pill when it need so he get a new medicine for blood pressure is Norvasc 20 mg to have 5 sample for him to try it to see if it work for him and go back to see his doctor this monday to see if blood pressure go down hope it will work for him so now he is rest and could not drive right now due his leg bother him poor my mom is sooooo tired not feel well right now.
So went to the vet to pick it up for my dogs for Heartguard and will bring them all to the vet to stay as hotel that we will be leaving our vacation this August for few days not have to worry about leave them at home not good idea if the electric goes off afraid to get so hot inside trailer so we rather not let something happen to my dogs. So after that vacation will get back to work our yard. Well I have to go did not want to sit too long because of still sore so I will be ok soon.

The doctor called my mom for him to go get MRI this Monday to hope it will find at this time and the ultrasound and x-rays did not show any what wrong with his leg so, I cross my fingers to hope it will find to help him feel better poor thing he still has pain the pain pill did not help him much.

How are you all doing today, I bet you all has hard working and whew so hot here some of plants died and most of it fine and just watering them and suprised it rain heavy little while ago oh well keep me busy so I feel much better now so my father is waiting for the doctor to call how things going on with his MRI for leg and Ultrasound about his heart so tomorrow morning he is going to have empty stomach to get a shot for Anemic so he is ok still hurting so much and tired and weak .
I had clean all inside van and vaccum the carpet all of that smell fresh and clean to get ready to leave this thursday to go Biloxi, Miss. so my parents and around here my friends neighbor will watch over my place while we gone.
Hope you all have a good time and enjoy with your gardening so make sure not stay too hot outside keep drink Gatorade or Ice Tea.

I broke out the sprinkler today and watered our front lawn and flower beds; the lawn is just rock hard and crispy-crunchy. The soaker hose is watering my veggies right now. They, at least, are doing great and we should have some tomatoes ripening soon, I hope.

HELLO! I am home now whew we are sooooo tired and good time at Biloxi, Miss. wish to stay longer.
Today my day is rest and will work to do outside tomorrow.

I went outside only twice today, and that was to walk the dogs. Just had a kind of lazy day after a busy weekend. It felt good!

Sorry did not get back soon here that we had been real so busy so much going on right now that my father had to go ER couple of time of this month and he does not feel well also my mom too.
Yesterday so much work to do cut the grass and pick up some junk to throw it away so me and my husband got so much sweat so scary that my husband found the snake under neath the old wood the snake were there and kill it it look like copperhead.

Sorry to hear your folks are struggling.

Lisa told me how terribly hot it is down your way...Heat index at 110 degrees?! It was in the low 90's here for several days, but today it was in the 70's, just wonderful. We have the windows open for the first time in ages.

Oh yes man here is so hot 110 index could not stand this so hopefully the fall season coming here soon.
My father still the same so his doctor appointment on 18th of this month about his back and his leg what so much cause it pain his leg mostly and hope will do something about it to help him reduce the pain.

Sunday Aug.7th I was bad. Left my driveway on the speed triple at 5:45 AM. Full leathers, boots gloves, full-face helmet. Got home 6:15 AM with 40 miles on the odometer. That's 80 mph average. I figured I better get home before I got busted. Northport to Searsport to Swan lake to Belfast to home. Back tire is so bald the guy at the shop told me if I hit a sharp rock it could explode. Ordered a new tire.

Dang, Frank! LOL!! I still laugh when I think about that shot of you in your car, up in mid-air.

Today had lot of rain that so great!
Right now I am thinking of my father is going to see his new doctor tomorrow morning it make me nervous that I hope it will help him do something about it his leg so much painful and his back too can't wait to hear from my mom will call me tomorrow when they come back home from the doctor in Lafayette, La .

Yay, rain! We had some the last couple days, but Wednesday it was sunny again. Have you had a break from that hot weather? It was only in the 80's today and we left the A/C off.
