I've never planted petunia, nor do I have any seeds. However, I do have a hanging basket of the mini petunias in hot pink. What is curious is that in the garden below the basket, some regular-sized lavender-ish petunia plants are growing. Coincidence, or no? Tamara

Most of the nursery grown petunias are hybrids so they do not come true from seed. Most likely that is what you have.

I've had a number of petunias self seed! Some are real dogs - too
weak to survive for any length of time but many are quite similar to
parents. I just love these freebies!
