Has anyone made mini greenhouses out of those large thick clear plastic bags that comforters and bed in a bag come in? I have several pots with cuttings in one bag. I placed them into the bottom of the bag and then placed the whole thing underneath my forsythia bush for shade. All my cuttings of butterfly bush, forsythia and honeysuckle bush and rose cuttings have gotten roots quickly.
This way I can do multiple cuttings and have them handy in one place to check on and water etc.
Zipper comforter bags
Windy,
I used these for winter sowing and they worked great when you cut a few holes in the bottom for drainage.
Alice
i use them all the time work great for me!
This is one of those ideas that makes me think, Duh! Why didn't I think of that?? I've been using ziplocs and other plastic bags over individual pots, but those bags would be great for pots of cuttings or AV leaves.... and I'll bet I have several in the linen cupboard upstairs!
Thanks, Windy!
Sometimes I wonder how much money we spend on packaging. LOL
You're welcome Critterologist.
I put whole flats inside the queen sized ones!
Great idea! I saved some of those wow nifty robin
