what does the star mean?

I was searching in the hens and chicks and for the first time noticed little green stars. what does "green star" mean?
also noticed the eyes, and i think it has to do w/ vendors, but while I'm asking stuff, what do "eyes" mean?

Green star. More positive comments than negative
Red X . more negative comments than positive.
The eyes tell you that a Plant Scout vendor offers that cultivar.
