especially for the geranium fans
mark, drooling as usual. I had no idea there was a double. I have 4 kids, which one you want in trade???? LOL!!
I dont want any children just yet as I'm way too busy!!
I'm waiting for another 2 plants which are double to come into bloom. the double pratense also comes in a violet/purple color.

Beautiful Mark - as usual!!
Keep em coming Mark! One of these days you will post a match to mine and I will be able to put a name on it yet!
I'm doing my best LOL. if I had of photographed these plants last year they would be online by now.
I'm changing my photos to a new site hopefully before Christmas because I have no control over the photos where they are and have to assume that all 4000 visitors have taken at least one shot. this I dont mind but ONE person has taken everyone of them without saying 'do you mind?'. the new site will have a 'no right click' program built in.
Mark
I hope they are at least giving you credit for them! Your work is better than any book out and people need to recognize that! Be sure to keep us informed of the change though cause I would hate to lose your site!
thanks Zany
Mark,
I had a few questions about geraniums, My step-mother gave a half wheelbarrow sized "Johnson's Blue" three years ago I divided it into three great plants they've triple by now and it seems they've re-seeded themselves this year, I never noticed this in the past, my question is will they bloom the same as the "johnson's" or might there be a color variation, not that I'm picky about color I'm just excited for the possibilities, as geraniums are fast becoming one of my favorite plants especially the "bilkova" I think thats the correct name. Also do you recommend prunning them back after blooming???
thanks,
Becky
hi Becky
unfortunately Johnston's blue is a sterile hybrid between Himalayense and Pratense. it increases well by running underground. maybe this is how it seems to be setting seed but you may not have JB. it happens many times and from I have read on davesgarden more so in the US. do you have any photos you can post? can you scan a flower on a flatbed scanner?
you're geraniums wont need cut back as most die back every winter. if you have a pratense cultivar cutting everything makes the plant produce a second flush of flowers.
cantabrigiense 'Biokovo' is the plant you mention.

Mark! I wonder now if we can trust the advice you give us on Geraniums.....a man who got the boot in a single day...:}
I am still giggling over that one!
HI Mark,
wouldn't you know, the one I've had for 5 years, the one that made me fall in love with them, is your first picture. The unknown!!
the problem with the unknowns is I think i'll remember which they are but when the film comes back I've forgotten. quite a few geraniums look alike eg Little Gem and Russell Prichard. I know carry a note book when I'm photographing flowers.
