I am trying to add new plants to the Plant Files, but it seems not to be working (bounces back).

it keeps telling me that the stuff is mispelled and wont let me submit it even though it is spelled right.( checked spelling agianst other plants is same species)

I've moved this thread because I'm trying to keep track of all new genus requests in this forum. See this thread: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/518450/ and please add the genus name to the list; I'll work on them later this evening.

I wanted to add a new Mutisia species (Mutisia rosea), but the system keeps asking:


The genus was misspelled. Did you mean....Martiusia or Muntingia?

The silly thing is that there are already two Mutisia species in the Plant Files.

Ursula, please refer to the other thread - I've added it, and there's also an explanation to kennedyh for the phenomenon you experienced.

imzadi, if you can please post the genus or family name to the other thread, I'll be happy to take a look and get it added ASAP.
