Mina lobata fertilizer needs?

I've been told that the Spanish flag, Mina lobata, is related to morning glories. I just picked up a six-pack of strong young vines from a nursery in NJ, and I'm setting them out. Does anyone know whether it wants fertilizer, and if so, what type? Must nitrogen fertilizer be avoided, as with morning glories?
