My new favourites

New daylily for me, but an old one that's been around. Just love the colour, and finally one that's true. From Valley K, Charles Johntson

An unknown pink Iris that bloomed it's heart out in it's second year.

A little beauty, 'Hell Cat'. Not my favourite name though. Think they could have called it something nicer.

Think that must be my limit for the day.

Oh echoes they are all gorgeous! Ü I esp. love the iris!!!! And even the name 'Hell Cat'. ;)

I know I'll be ordering from Valley K next year. :)

Victoria, BC(Zone 8b)

I really enjoy the deep dark purples and blues, and reds. That last iris is great.

St. John's, NL(Zone 5b)

I've never had any luck with the blue corydalis...yours is obviously doing wonderfully!

As I was posting the last iris pic, I got a language warning. Wondered if it would go through.

Todd, I tried several times on the Corydalis. So glad you like them, I enjoy them.

Hope they make lots and lots of babies!!! ;)

Lovely Iris, echoes. I wish our Iris here were still blooming. :)

Campbell River, BC(Zone 8a)

Beautiful pictures. I especially like the daylily and the last two irises.

Thanks Donna, Sandy. I really like this daylily too. I got two daylilies from Valley K, the other one is very good also. At last, some daylilies that look like they are supposed to.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 4a)

More purrrtys, Brenda! How did I miss some of these?
:) Donna

Don't know, I think they were all blooming, but the last iris. And the daylily might not have been open at the time.

It's too early for Orietals here, but this one was started indoors and as soon as I planted it out, it was chewed off at the bottom, so I rescued the blossoms. Introducing 'Red Hot'

Nice, Brenda. I especially like that pink Iris.

Pam it looks like Stargazer at first glance, but probably not enough spotting. If you got it as an anknown, that would be one of the best chances. I'll think on it, but Ginny will be a better ID source.

Thanks Darrell, it is my best pink so far. Can you grow irises easily out your way? I guess you'd have good drainage for them.

Thanks Donnas

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Thanks echoes....like you I thought it was 'Stargazer' at first but not now. Will wait for Ginny's reply.

I'll be watching to pick up one like yours (it's coloring is really different :). Is it a new release?

Might be, hasn't been out for too long I don't think.

Look at this one, and compare to yours.

Sure looks close! Is yours really pink like my monitor is showing?

It's a pretty bright pink. Supposed to be Kissproof, from a package bought at a local nursery this spring. I'll have to find the package and see what the picture looks like.

Says its a seedling of Stargazer

I'm going to check the color of mine in the morning.....that name sounds familiar. :)

I suppose this is now one of my new favourites. Quite a surprise too. I have fussed and coddled Buddleia seedlings I started last year. Kept them in all winter and in the end only one survived and has since been planted out. This year I started a few more, winter sowed. Got about seven seedlings of various sizes, still in pots.

But I found two little seedlings in a tray under lights in the spring, and planted them separately in pots and then stuck them in a flowerbed when I planted a bunch of other seedlings. No clue what they were, but they didn't look like weeds.

I have had a delightlful laugh at myself over my NOID seedlings. After all that un attention here is one blooming. No idea if I can overwinter them, but worth a try.

Starfighter is a lot like stargazer but more hot pink to it. It might be Starfighter.
