I had such a good time that I had nothing to gripe about, and that just spoils my day.
You disced a field for parking. Then provided transportation for us and our plants up to the house. A looong table for our plants. There was shade a plenty and space for all of our food. And on top of all that you pulled strings with the controller of the weather and the day was delightful with a wonderful breeze. There were smiling faces everywhere that one turned.
That upsets me that I had nothing to gripe about.
Don the epiphyllum that you took is pictured here http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/284442/ and Dave put this in the plant files http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/2100/index.html which may be from the one that I sent him. But then in this thread http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/513289/ people are talking about E. strictum, so I am confused and that certianly is not something new..
If you come up with a name for the bilbergia (the pot with the mainden hair fern) I would like to know what it is.
Oh, did Gourd attend? There were so many people that I did not get to talk to everyone. Now that is something to be upset about, so I guess I DO have a gripe, now I am feeling better.
Oh and give me the name of the pine cone cactus. Without having things in writing I don't remember.
Sue and I had a great time.
DrDon, I am sorry but I have to say this
Hi George,
Please give me the name of the orchid you gave me...I forgot!
And Gourd wasn't there, I was looking forward to seeing her, I've traded with her.
Weegy12, that was an Epidendrum or reed stemmed orchid. I use SuperSoil potting mix and mine is on the East side of the house where it gets full sun until in the afternoon. I don't remember the color of the one that you took, if it is red I have had that one in a twelve inch pot for over 20 years. It gets water occasionally and is abut 5 feet tall. Frost is the problem. Mine have frozen back a couple of times, then the next year you do not get any blooms while the plant gets itself back together.
I see where you like iris. I have a few, including a couple that rebloom. Those and other things in my yard are available on a you dig basis. I cannot dig anymore. You are close enough that you could come over.
Yes, I have traded with Gourd a couple of times and had hoped to meet her.
LMAO George, if you had found a single complaint I whould have had to come up there and spank you! And Sue would have helped me! It was great to meet you both.
Hiya George!
What a great treat to meet you, and to have a fellow curmudgeon to commiserate with, even for a brief time. The Pine Cone Cholla you took home is linked here.

Both Pam and I were jazzed to have had an opportunity to meet you and your wife and hope that you will think kindly of us in those rare occasions when you're not upset about something....lol.
Best,
Don
Thanks George, yep I got the red one. I do like iris's but I have my own 500 to start digging up!
But I will send you my wish list and if you have any of them, I will gladly come and dig them up.
You want any of mine??? Thanks for the info also. I will treasure that orchid.
Anyone hear from Gourd?
Oh boy, did I read this late or what? Weegy12, George, and DrDon, stop on by anytime you wish, I'm a little bit better prepared for company now.. These next few months I will be staying home. This past summer my daughter and grand-daughter stayed here for a couple of months (and my daughter-in-law with my two of their four children, my grandchildren came also at about the same time, then my son was to go to Iraq, got hurt and was sent here and needs surgery, same day a car runs a red light and hits my DH on his Harley and he is hospitalized), my brother-in-law decided to stay for 2 months, along with my mom living with us and I was just too tired to go anywhere. (and my daughter had surgery also too close to the RU date).
Now, hopefully there will not be anything to stop us from the next RU..
It will be fantastic to meet you all.
Antoinette
Geez Antoinette, what else could have gone wrong for you??!!! Is everyone ok now though? We missed meeting you at the RU. I'll let you know when I'm going to be out that way and if you're out this way, let me know.
Goodness Antoinette!!!!!!! ((((HUGS))))) I didn't realize, you never let on! Hope things have calmed for you and are better now!
Annie
