Terry, how do you go outside....at all????? I would be scared to go out even at night??? *got the heebie jeebies* just looking at 'da bear' LOLOL

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

I don't go out at night Julie and in the daytime when I have to water the Brugs I always have an eye and a ear open. I'm getting too old to try to outrun a bear. LOL
Shhh! Don't scare Sherry, I'm hoping to do a trade with her. I just have to figure out if I should send him FedEx or UPS. :)

snowhermit - every critter that shows up here stays but if one of those showed up here.... the rest of us would leave. Amazing!!

When UPS brings me my nutriments, I'm going to have Ricki Ticki ready to roll. I guess I should get one on the long flower tubes, and slide him in lengthwise and stretch him out, ya think??? Terry when you send the bear, you better send him on Monday, I'm afraid he would get too hot in UPS over the weekend. I sure hope they have a fork lift or a back hoe...

It amazes me that he can smell the bird feeders that high and walk right up the steps to get at them.

Pink Favorite has been blooming continuously since June 23. Some days only two blooms, but tonight she started a very large flush and, each blossom so far, has 6 points. On June 23 when this marathon flush began, there were only 5 points. Is Pink Favorite known for having 6 points?? She is such a bloomer, and sweet blossomed girl, with a nice, light fragrance. Did I mention that I like her lots??? lol.

I have one marked Pink Favorite?? because the tag faded and from the faint remains of the name it looked like it could be PF. It's getting ready to bloom for me for the first time. Does your PF have a long skinny calyx?

Hmmm. Linda, your PF leafs seem much larger than mine, and she has hardly had any leafs, she's all blooms here. Odd. I think the skinny calyx might have to do with water or heat, my EP doesn't look anything like she did last year, when we had a much wetter growing season. Whatever, here is a photo of PF, today 8/19/05, instead of the date my stupid digital says, grrrrr, I've forgotten how to reset the date, will get my grand to do it tonight...oh, it was difficult to get that photo, too much sun and shadows, hope you can see it okay...

Linda, I just looked at the photo of Pink Favorite, first photo on this thread, and, her leaves were nice sized with her first blooms, it's only after almost 2 months, blooming every day, with three heavy flushes, that her leaves have dwindled down to small and sparse, while her flower production has tripled...her blooms will melt but she makes up for it by continuing to bud and bloom, and is a joy to wake up to in the morning and evening, at twilight...
