Hi all, just got a message from Donna's daughter that she had emergency surgery on thursday!!!! Gallbladder, she may not be home for awhile. I wanted everyone to know in case you don't hear from her for a little while, they say she will be down for 2-3 weeks. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks Laurrie for letting us know. It's always nice for a relative to contact someone here on DG to let her friends know why she's missing.

Donna, sure hope all is well with you. Get well soon, cause those vines of yours will miss you lots. lol

Donna, Yes her daughter wrote me, I am not a relative but I feel as close as we were sisters, she is a dear!!! I love them as my own family and just can't believe this as I spoke to her monday and all seemed fine, then I think it was early hours of tuesday she started hurting.

You are sooo right!! Those vines will miss her and she will go crazy at the hospital not being able to tour her yard and sit on her patio with those vines!!!! I will keep updating as I know more.

Sorry to hear about pudgymudpies -- please give her our best wishes for a quick recovery. My mom said she never realized how sick she was until she had her GB out -- then she felt 100% better. Hope PM has the same result!

Thank you Laurrie and thank you everyone for your well wishes. I am on the road to recovery. My family has been terrific about spending hours a day watering & doing all my chores, and in the words of my 18 yr old daughter, "I have so much to do, there is just not enough time!" lol
So I think my daily life has been revealed to them & a bit more appreciated.
Again, thank you!

Ah, glad to hear you are on the mend Donna! Gee, perhaps you should have more "down" days so they can be reminded of how much they appreciate you! I am also a gallbladderless person (7 years!), and don't notice any difference except for the fact that greasy or fatty foods seem harder to digest (I don't feel sick, just a little "yucky"). I just naturally tend to avoid them now, (except pizza, WHO could avoid pizza?) or eat less of the offending food! You will learn what you can do and what makes you feel "cruddy". At least it's never as bad as when the gallbladder was acting up! Welcome back, we missed you!
