Does anyone know what these pods/acorns are? They are hard and hollow; the shape and size of a blueberry. Any ideas??
Thanks!
What are these??
If they came from an oak they could be bullet galls, common especially on bur oak.

No idea where they came from. There is a volunteer group that make ornaments from natural materials for Brandywine Museum and these were found in a bag on a table. The group wants more but no one knows what they are!
Where did you get them? They certainly resemble Eucalyptus, but that doesn't grow in PA.
Looks like you found it! Eucalyptus Todtiana ... thanks. These pods were probably brought in by someone who found them on their travels. All kinds of pods, cones and seeds show up from vacation adventures. The volunteers all treasure hunt for materials wherever they go. I actually found a source already ... thanks again!
