How do I properly add a rose?

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

I've got a rose cultivar that needs to be added and I'm a bit confused...

The best I can determine...not being familiar with rose terms at all...is that it should be

Rosaceae..family
Rosa...genus
wichuraiana x...species
Dorothy Perkins..cultivar

no common name.

Before I go in and do this...I want to make sure I'm correct. It's also classed as a Climber and a Floribunda

As long as it's not this one: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/69472/index.html

You're pretty much on the money. I don't know about the wichuriana specific epithet (notice how it's part of the common name on this entry.) If you do add it, the "x" goes first to designate it's a hybrid - x wichuriana

We usually include a common name reflective of their class - Hybrid Tea Rose, Grandiflora Rose, Old Garden Rose, etc. If it's classified as both, the common name would be Grandiflora Rose, Floribunda Rose. It helps users find a rose by class even if they can't use the advanced search.

Thanks Terry....mine's the original pink version...so it can have it's own entry.

The x wichuraiana was what I figured had to be the species...should I leave that field blank, and just put it in the common name field......this is where I get confused.

Helpmefind is usually pretty good at helping sort out some of the species issues (and cultivar synonyms.) Here's their entry for 'Dorothy Perkins' http://www.helpmefind.com/rose/pl.php?n=1588 - looks like they put Wichuriana down as a common name only.

Ok, then it should read
Rambler, Tree Rose, Wichuriana...common name...I also found Floribunda in my search
Rosaceae...family
Rosa...genus

no species...

Dorothy Perkins...cultivar

Sounds right!
