Cannot add new plant - Genus mispelled but I have it right

Hello, Trying to add a plant to the list and keep getting this message: The genus was misspelled. Did you mean....Caleana or Dalea? I am sure the Genus is spelled correctly. Genus is Calea. Species is zacatechichi Family is Compositae I am new to this site and would like to contribute - how do I add plants to a list that doesnt recognize new plants?

Try using Asteraceae as the family name, Compositae is the old name for the Daisy family and that might be preventing the addition.

Thanks Terry - I posted when I saw a similar question on here and hadnt gotten a response from that email. I thought perhaps I had asked in the wrong location. I will give it a new try tonight.

Tried again this evening using the updated family name and still get the same error refusing the genus. ? Ok, so now what?

I've added it to the list the system uses for comparison, so you should be able to add it now. I'm also sending you a member-to-member message with a little more information.
