Ely, I have one.... It's a really cute one that Vossner sent me earlier this spring.

Foley, AL

ok, do you know which one? I sent one called alocasia varigated macrorrhiza should be easy to grow but I am testing the size and distance to see if they live... but when you get it let it dry out for a hr or so and if it dies back don't panic it should put up more leaves...and if not I can do another........ lots of bark in the medium for those alocasias now.... It wasn't the only alocasia I sent you. but it more on the pricey side. at least on ebay...LOL

ely

Southwestern, OH(Zone 6b)

I would have to look it up.... it comes up in KY neon pink will also come up in a cold climate with mulch.. but you need to get them in the spring so the roots can grow in the ground and get stabled...

take a pic melissa....

who ever got bulbs just stick them in dirt and if you have acess to animal dodo through that in there....and it will grow...

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

helloely from hellobebe, checking in, sir!
You are too awesome, just opened the box an hour ago, and now, I too, am crazy for ele ears. Just lucious, and healthy as can be. Thank you so much, please know how much I appreciate this.

The best, however, was the little stowaway that literally jumped out at me as I cut open the box, a small black and white spider that continued to hop his way around my dining room table for like half an hour...my sons and I were laughing our butts off...we captured him in a glass and finally freed him outside to get a meal. He must have had quite a journey.

Foley, AL

WOWOW

everyone happy doing the happy dance

Could you post an E. Ear website? I am clueless here. I would love to learn more about these plants.
Thanks bundles!

Foley, AL

dee I also have a few cannas I need to run by you before I ship..... I am sending you a " I had to wait forever surprise" That was taken around christmas. I was actually happy some young kid I worked with was leaving. he was not the "sweetest nector in the flower bed"

ely

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Hey! I didn't get a spider! :( Umm, on second thought, I really do not care for them. LOL What a lovely pic of you! LOL

Theresa, there are tons of sites about the almighty ears. Go to google and type in Alocasia, Colocasia or Xanthosoma and you will be drooling and giddy for hours! This site will keep you busy for a few um, minutes. http://www.agristarts.com/ The have nice pics. Click the links across the top and we'll see ya some time next week. LOL

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

LOL..."not the sweetest nectar in the flower".I like that one! Speaking of Christmas, my brother and I are looking for an elf, and I think you would be perfect!! We go around to the nursing homes, daycares, etc.I made him a santa suit last year, and this year I am going make me a Mrs. Claus. We tried to talk my hubby into being the elf, but he said he's not wearing any #@*% tights..lol

Really, I can use anything that you send.A "I had to wait forever surprise" sounds yummy, but isn't necessary(she says with her hands out..LOL).I have a big new yard to work with, and it needs lots of help.It is mostly sunny, but I do have a shady hillside, that I have decided to start landscaping(lots of hostas!).My DH does the mowing and I do the weed eating, and that hill is steep.I took a pretty good fall on it a couple weeks ago, while wacking it.Put the fear in me, it did!

Now...I can tell by your pic that green is definately your color. What size tights did you say you wear?

Dee

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

ROTF Dee! You are a riot! Ely, could you please model the red tights and the green tights? This I would love to see!

Dee, you did not get hurt did you? I have taken a few bounces around the greenhouse since I have not gotten around to doing the path. The kids splash enough water out of the pool to keep the slight slope slick. LOL

What kinds of plants do you need for your new sunny yard?

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Badseed, I didn't really get hurt, but it knocked the wind out of me, and I about hyperventalated trying to catch my breath, then I got all dizzy..LOL..It's funny now, but it was kinda scarey. I'm almost 52, and had never had the wind knocked out of me.I thought I done knocked my brain loose.LOL I love these hills, but it makes for a difficult yard to take care of..hehe

Let's see, I will pretty much have the ugly retaining wall hidden, after I plant what Larry sends.I'm going to be working on trying to cut back on the weed eating by covering the hill, and I have started putting in some daylilies above the ditch. That one will take a while, but I have started! lol Really, you know how we plant addicts operate...we want any and all plants! lol I would really like to add some ground covers, too.

By the way,I talked to Santa and he said he is looking forward to meeting the new ear-man elf...lol
