There is also Richters in Canada, the ship all around the world but I fear that shipping would make the price way too high.

Anybody interested in a Jim Westerfield mint Co-op?
Well I looked at their website and I couldnt figure out what crop failure meant...they do sell plugs which would give us alot more plants but 68.00 for a flat...yikes....
The crop failure flats went through for buying if I did the whole shopping cart to the end but Im not even going there...lolol..Judy
They have crop failure every year on quite a few things, especially mints. meaning they lost their whole supply of that particular plant, due to freeze probably. or bugs, etc...
there plants are sold alot of times individually, they'll list it as "plant" "seed" or someother way like flats, their expensive on shipping of course, and I've ordered from them, most were dead on delivery or died within a day or so, they ship in small say l l/2 in pots with one stem for the plant (mint), and wrap the bottom of the pot or rather the whole pot in plast ic and of course they don't tape it around the pot so it creeps up the plant and where ever the plastic touches it kills it in delivery, I know, been there, they will refund your money with no questions asked if you want to take a chance on buying, but you'll not be satisfied with their products and service. Of course this is just my opinion LOL
Maybe FF could help plan a co-op for us for next year?

I think whoever said it that they are a smaller company and never thought to have somebody buy for a co-op so they werent very helpful..I think the time between emails to me were because they had to discuss what to do about trying to provide plants..when I asked a round about amount of shipping they couldnt give me an answer so it wouldnt be possible to ask people for a certain amount of shipping when I couldnt figure out the amount..the only definite answer I got was what they would charge for a plant if I could get 8 per variety...Judy
In the co-op going now, we figured shipping based on the average weight of one plant x the number of plants. You could do something like that and add say $1.00 extra. (can you tell I don't want to give up?)
Barb
I know Barb but for one thing I would have to have shipping cost for the plants coming to me and going to you...lolo..and for one thing I dont know the size of the plants...if the company had been more cooperative I would have done it..but I dont think I want the hassle right now...sory...maybe next year with more experience under my belt....Judy
Oh, no problem! I certainly understand, given their lack of assistance, Judy!
Barb
