Darius, thanks for posting that picture! I think now I have a good visual of what I should do if I want to make tea. Certainly worth a thousand words. :)

After seeing your pictures I went out and bought some whole camomile blossoms and boy it doesn't even taste like the chamomile tea bags. It actually has an apple sort of flavor. mmmm very good.

Last winter DH and I splurged on a weekend at a posh hotel. They served tea every afternoon in our room, and we always chose chamomile. The teapot was quite full of little flowerheads. I looked, but didn't see any leaves. I've read elsewhere that the flowers have a smoother taste than the leaves. The leave apparantly taste more medicinal. On a DG thread tonight, I read that the stems taste horrible. Good to know, lol :) I'm planning on growing chamomile this year with my daughters :) They think tea is such a treat. Sounds good for before bedtime. Thanks for all the great info everyone :)

danak, there are lots of things that look exactly like camomile -- not meaning at all to say you don't know camomile, just be VERY sure it really is camomile!
