Neglected, unloved and forgotten

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

Kell, I'm sorry you had such an adventure, and glad that you're ok. I also use my cell phone so seldome that when I need it, it's usually dead. I just don't have a routine to charge it.

I wanted to show you a picture of this leaf on L'Amour X EP, it measures 24 x 12 inches. (not counting the stem).

I have OnStar for those auto difficulties and I keep my cell with me at all times. My doc's nurse was working up my information and one of the questions she asked was: What has caused you the most difficulty with your broken ankle? I told her, without a doubt, it was when I almost dropped my cell phone in the toilet. I don't use my cell much, but when I need it, there is nothing that takes its place - have you looked for a phone booth recently?? They are becoming very scarce...

Thanks goodness you're okay! Cars can be repaired!!

Another beautiful Rose to add to your gorgeous collection, in addition to your phenomenal Brug garden!

Northern California, CA

Kell -
Don't make me drive down there and take your keys away from you.

Too scary. Bad car. Bad freeway.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Please tell me why some brugs have 2 by their names - like EP2, Rosamond2, and there are others. What's that about??

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Candy. If you come, bring me on your red banana.

Well, now I have to get a loaner from the Volvo place and I won't be able to haul plants. That is a disaster! Maybe you are right Ada, I was not meant to get that rose.

I am having a glass of wine and eating pizza as I type. I have recovered. LOL!!l

Sherry, where do you see that?

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Oh, Kell, how scary! I'm glad that you're ok. No, no, no, it only means that you aren't supposed to go get the rose TODAY. Maybe the nursery is expecting a shipment of something fabulous, and this is to make you wait a couple of days until the wonderful thing (or things) get there!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Linda, I've seen it several places, on a seedling and I've seen it on sites were brugs are being sold.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Sherry it means it is not the original, but possibly a seedling from the original(or a new improved version).
Kell, how horrible your ordeal must have been. You need to get a travel charger that plugs into your power port on your car, then you can charge your cell phone(and talk while it's charging).

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Susie, it was plugged into the charger for days in my car!!! I unplugged it as I ran from the car. I thought it may be on fire from all the smoke. Maybe I am supposed to push some button to charge it. I thought I just had to plug it in. Tom usually charges it for me. I am challenged, very. LOL

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Gosh Kell! I just can't stand the thought of what you went through. Geez....it sure sound scary!

I normally preach to people about cell phones and keeping them charged and ready for use. A little off subject, but I had a very close friend that was killed while standing beside a vehicle borrowing a cell phone from a passerby because she had a flat. It was a tragedy.....and her 3 small children watched it happen. Always remember, the safest place is in the vehicle!!! And keep those cell phones handy and the battery charged!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Gee Linda, I must have missed that leaf the first time around. How I have no clue. It is HUGE!! What are you feeding that plant? LOL

Oh Brinda, you make nervous all over again. When we got back, the cars were whizzing by at 70 miles an hour. I thought my husband was going to be hit for we were on such a narrow little patch between an on ramp and the freeway itself. What a tragedy for your friend and her family. And for you too! I bet you miss her.

Houston, TX(Zone 9b)

That must have been terrible, Kell! At least you were near somewhere where you could find a phone, though!!

If you are interested in coppery/orange roses, you should check out Denver's Dream. It's a mini with about 2" or so blooms with nice tangerine centers and darker burnt orange/coppery outer edges. Don't have pic here at my office, but here's where I got it:

Thanks Carter, how pretty! But I have my heart set on Brass Band in tree form and sadly I have called about 25 nurseries and searched on line and no one has it. Even huge rose nurseries did not carry it this year. I fear they stopped making it in tree form. All that is left to do is make a midnight raid on my neighbors with a shovel. I am in despair.

It never occurred to me I wouldn't be able to find one. I am really quite spoiled. And now I am pouting ALOT!!
