Tiny morning glory??? "Milky way"

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

My "milky way" MG's are starting to bloom, they are as small as a dime. Is this the normal size for them?

Liz I wanted to make sure you knew you weren't being ignored. :-)

I don't know anything about 'Milky Way' but what I found on Google kept saying LARGE lol

Check the plant files - I saw that L word again.....like 5" flowers.

I think tiny flowers are good too. :-)

Thanks so much, I'll check and also take a picture tomorrow if one is blooming. It has been cool, that may be the reason they are so small.

Is it by chance, Convolvulus sabatius

I had Convolvulus last year and they didn't vine for me. They were a little bush and were very pretty.

The milky way seeds were sent to me from someone on DG. I'll
have to check my notes. It is 50 this morn and windy, I'm hoping they will get bigger as it warms up.

Hello! I have this very MG, grown from seed, and my blooms are of normal size. They do, however, take the day to develop their violet stripes. Mine starts with just a hint of striping, then darken.

Thanks mkjones, I'm looking forward to mine getting bigger.

I grew them before and they were small like yours. They were about half the normal size bloom and didn't exactly "do much for me"...lol
