Drew's Garden Pictures So Far

Pleasant Grove, UT(Zone 6b)

These contain Herbs (yup the cilantro is turning to Coriander) one bed is sweet potatoes but they are not really going anywhere... The summer squash is coming on nicely and the pumpkins and pattipan are doing well in the middle of the 3 4x4 beds...

These are potatoes and a zucchini and a early prolific straight neck... Potatoes are all blues, a cranberry colored variety and a peruvian purple.

I just LOVE intensive plantings, of any type! If you got cranberry red potatoes, you will really like them. Is that corn in the front of the 3 4x4 beds? I saw the other corn and it looked good. So what IS going somewhere, I mean what are the vines that are sneaking out of the long raised bed behind the 4x4s?

Back a couple of photos, I had a squash with leaves like that once, and then it died, I think it had downy mildew. What variety is that, maybe acorn? ARe the leaves supposed to have those grey veins in them?

Funny, you are so into this, you think the people that stop to look are weird, but what are they thinking about these beds? They think all you do is garden, have no idea how easy this really can be. Eventually, you could have classes to show your neighbors how to do this, then you won't have to share your harvest LOL

Keep those pics coming...

this bed has a little of everything in it... Mellons, Cucumbers, tomatoes and peppers and a few eggplant...

I am really good at making sure the leaves don't get wet as I have had horrendous problems with powdery mildew in years past. I dont have ANY yea!!! I have been diligent with my copper soap shield from Gardens alive and dispite the wet weather I am doing good. I have seen this varagated look in my zucchini in the past... I am thinking it is normal for some varieties.

These are my cherry tomatoes and my HOT peppers... Habaneros, Jalepenos and the like and 5 Varieties of cherry tomatoes including Sungold, Dr. Carolyn, Supersweet 100s and more...

That t-tape watering system looks great, are you liking it?

Didn't know Dr. Carolyn was a cherry, though I know she is sweet LOL

Good to know about the squash leaves...

Pleasant Grove, UT(Zone 6b)

Yup... I have only seen pictures but Dr. Carolyn is a light white/yellow cherry. I will have some soon and will see for myself what they are all about very soon. I am not sure what to think about the silver mulch... I should have grown the same thing in several beds and tested multiple mulches. The Peppers I have in several beds including the ones with the silver are doing well. Actually the ones with the silver have set fruit first and are growing the biggest peppers but that may be a variety issue...

& TF says "I just LOVE intensive plantings, of any type!"

Me too!
Where as I had to give up that style of intensive container gardening I still try various other methods. Haha; Regarding dare I hope to do better!
Looks like ya have it covered.

Hardest thing I had to learn was spacing.
Happy 06 to ya. May your camera never run dry......
