What causes the potential bloom to dry and fall from the developing plant? I've had this happen twice. I don't think that lack of water of the cause. This is happening when the blooms are very small and just developing.

Good question ~ I think I've had that happen on an asiatic.
Could be early frost or dramatic change from high to low temperatures. Typically happens on forced lilies which comes out too early.
