Your opinions on growing Boxwood in containers for topiarys appreciated.
I just purchased my first Boxwoods...Green Mountain and Green Velvet.
How big of a pot do they need? Do they over winter okay in pots in Z5?
Also Buxus sempervirens "Suffruticosa" is suppose to tolerate heavy shade.
Is anybody familar with this variety?
Any tips on growing Boxwood in pots appreciated.

How big are your plants? They should be fine in pots as they aren't fussy. As long as you feed well to compensate for pruning they should do very well.
There new plants so maybe maybe the are 1' X 1' size.
