Discovered some damage to a flowering crabapple at the base of the tree. Looks chewed and peeled. It's a young tree - planted last spring. The bites aren't too deep. What should I do or will mother nature take care of it? I would think I should at least trim the peeled pieces. Any help would be appreciated.
