I grew Pekin and President Lincoln Blue lilacs from seed and I'm not sure why but the trunks are all twisted. I don't really mind so much but will this cause death or poor quality? Will they even live?
If they won't grow well in the ground, would they suffice as bonsai specimens and are they capable of flowering as bonsai?
Deformed Lilacs
Bonzai Lilacs!
Well, if it can work, I'll all for it. They've developed some interesting shapes. And I've got a few that grew normally.
