If you purchased and are growing out J. MG's from the above 3 companies, please post pictures here.
I will try to provide the Japanese characters that go with them.

NO! I cannot take credit for growing this beauty but isn't it wonderful?

Dee,
I don't remember where I came accross that pic; but it was a long time ago.
It IS a MG but I have no info about it. Never have seen it offered but as you know ~ I have only been gardening for 3 years.

Maybe Gerris or anyone more knowlegable than me can identify it.

Arlene,

Better ask Ron, I am a neophyte when it comes to this group. It is an fantastic picture of a beautiful flower.

One of our DGers in New Zealand grew this but she doesn't have it now.

One of our DGers, Ron, who I consider to know more about all MGs than anyone in the world emailed me this:

"This species is available from from 'quite a few' nurseries in this country as clonal plants...seeds of this species would be unusual to find, since most of the material is from cloned plants...Some European gardeners may have seeds if they have non-clonal material...it's a somewhat cold hardy perennial as a European native, but I haven't had any luck with the clonal material being cold hardy for me,which is not unusual for some species to become somewhat less resilient from continual cloning..."

Thanks for sharing with us, Ron.
