I ordered from e-bay. Received them bare root with no type of packaging or moisture - the roots were dry. I placed in a bucket of water. What are the chances of survival?
Red Twig Dogwood
Very good! You can't kill these things. If your really concerned buy a root stimiulator ( at all nurserys ), and let them soak for an hour before planting.
I hope you know that these are humungus and rhizome runners... so hopefully you have a very large space to fill.
but the red twig of the cornus (dogwood) are very beautifull. Good Luck!!
Abby
Thanks Abby. I do have the room, so spreading won't be a problem.

My variegated redtwigs dogwoods are true woody bushes; do not have rhizomes and do not run. Perhaps you're thinking of something else?
