Feeding MGs

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Who feeds them? I know some plants flower better without food are MGs one of them?
If you do, what do you use? I have Algoflash that I like for other things, was wondering what else may be good.

Most MG do not need fertilizing. If fed they produce all green foliage and no blooms. That has always been my experience as well.

What kinds of MG's are you growing?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks Berrygirl.
I am doing some Japanese ones and some I have gotten in great trades.
Lindenheimer
sun smile
spring
blue silk
gypsy bride
indica
Sydney
Joyce Cobb

That's just to name a few. I have MG disease that I know there is know cure for! LOL

What do you grow?

luvs,
They ARE addictive aren't they?
Wow... I know absolutely nothing about Japanese MG. Maybe the culture on them is diff than the old standbys that I grow. Perhaps someone who has experience with JMG can give you advice for growing them.

I grow Heavenly Blue, Grandpa Ott, Star of Yelta[for the first time this yr], and a wild blue un-named one. Also, the MG cousins- white and pink moonvines, and cardinal climber.

Berry, I think the Japanese ones are basically grown the same just harder to get and much more expensive!! I have a lot of the less common ones if you are looking for something different.Shoot me an email and I will let you know what I have and if you don't have them I will send you some.
