Could someone please tell me- If I was to plant these in the yard how far away should I stay away from my septic or House ?? For I was told the roots really move out in distance.
Thank-You, Ingrid
Dragon claw curly willow -QUESTION
Whenever I place any willow in a plan I leave at least 75 feet (usually 100). DH says he wouldn't go any closer than 50, so perhaps I'm conservative, but it beats messing up the septic system. The leach field is what you want to keep the tree away from. Any tree with agressive water-seeking roots (Birch, Alder, etc) should be kept as far away as possible, at least that's my opinion!

There's nothing like plant buddies! Everyone else looks at me like I'm a taddy "spun" when I worry over a little seedling or ask my Hoyas when they will bloom for me! LOL
